Footprints of dinosaurs - Imereti
At the end of XX century Georgian archaeologists and paleonthologists discovered remains of skeletons of "Homo Erectus" - one of the most ancient race of our planet, aged up to two million years. The French anthropologists restored the ancient human's habitus according to the discovered parts of the skeletons and gave them Georgian names; Mzia - to the woman and Zezva - to the man. Mzia and Zezva are the oldest residents of Eurasia continent.
The area of forest (The Sataplia National Park) near the Kutaisi was also a favorite place for dinosaurs as well. Footprints of dinosaurs - The limestone clefts where there are the foot-prints as Geologists say should have been settled 120 million years ago. There are two levels of the footprints: upper and lower.
Their length was 5-6 m. They were also standing on the black foots like the dinosaurs from the low level footprints.
The scientists investigated the low chalk settles of Georgia and came to the conclusion that the border of the land and sea was at the place where Kutaisi is located now. The dinosaurs lived at the seaside.
