Ateni Sioni - a monument of the first half of the 7th century. The building is central domed church, and it repeats the architectural layout and forms of the Mtskheta church of Holy Cross(Jvari) through the proportions are diffrerent.the interior of it is especially impressive.The beautiful 11th century frescoswith their religious content,the portraits of georgian kings and local feudal rulers are clearly nantional in characteristic, and with the artistic interpretation of the compositions, the subtle treatment of the forms of characters,and resonant coloring they are one of the best epoch-making spiciments of medieval Georgian mural painting.
